What is a Field Experience?
- Each of the required field experience course placements affords CSA students the opportunity to work in student affairs settings that have been approved by the CSA faculty.
- Students work approximately 8 hours per week in each field experience site, and except for summer job placements they are unpaid. During the academic year, site supervisors cannot extend the hours a student is present at the site by paying them for the additional hours.
- While enrolled in each Field Experience, students attend a seminar that focuses on issues of relating theory to practice.
- Students are required to do two field experiences.
