What is a Field Experience?
- Each of the two required Field Experiences affords CSA students the opportunity to work in student affairs settings that have been approved by the CSA faculty.
- Students work approximately 8 hours per week in each Field Experience site and can be paid or unpaid to earn 3 credits. In the summer, students secure placements on their own where they must complete a minimum of 120 hours for 3 credits.
- While enrolled in each Field Experience, students must enroll in the Field Experience Seminar Course (15:245:601) that focuses on reflection and relating theory to practice. These courses are graded Pass/No Pass.
- Full-time students and part-time students in the Entry Level track are required to complete two field experiences. Part-time students in the Executive Management track have the option to take one Field Experience as an elective.
