Paul Robeson Cultural Center
The goal of this field site experience is to provide the student with the following:
- Exposure to developing and implementing initiatives and programs that advance the growth of the black student community at Rutgers-New Brunswick
- Understand the role cultural centers play on a college campus and its impact on building inclusive communities within a higher education setting
- Provide the student with tools, resources and skills to develop cultural competency and be able to effectively navigate the needs of diverse students on a college campus
- Develop skills and strong leadership abilities where the student can serve as a role model and ambassador for historically underrepresented students
- Achieve a heightened level of learning and development in preparation for entering a professional role beyond graduate school
