- Project 1:
Living Learning Community Research: Under the supervision of professional staff in the Global Village and Douglass Project, the student will conduct research on living learning communities, identifying the most innovative practices in LLCs. This research may also include drafting and carrying out an online survey of student interest in and experience with LLCs, in order to compare with the topical background research and to identify new living learning community topics. - Project 2:
Housing Outreach: In collaboration with the site supervisor and Director of Housing at Douglass Residential College, develop and implement a housing outreach strategy which highlights the benefits of living-learning communities which are a) dedicated to the promotion of cross-cultural exchange and b) working to support women in male-dominated STEM fields. Act as liaison with the Douglass Recruitment Office, as well as the Office of Housing and Residence Life, including identifying new ways to collaborate on outreach programs.
